i remember when i first heard Agitated scream of maggots.. a bit like oops -wannabe trash??? but the more u listen to the better it is. but what i wanted to say ->> i was watchin Despair in the womb and i almost fainted when heard this song live.. O___O i cant wait to go to their concert in Dresden...this song catched my heart....
btw do you think that it is real Kyo´s blood when he is on stage???
 
I do like both Clever Sleazoids, but the single is obviously easier to understand. I heard the video is coming on MTV2 soon, but are they making a new one?

btw what do you think of kyo's vocals in the album?
cause i think his voice is soooooooooo going down i love the pledge but i think you can hear the strain on his voice it feels as if he can't sing like he used to.....

Kyo sang Repitition of hatred and The fatal beleiver it was so amazing <3
they also sang Obscure which is one of my fav songs :3
 
To be honest I have no problems with his voice on MOAB. I had worried after hearing ASOM that the whole album was basically going to be a scream fest, but he really pleasantly surprised me - especially with stuff like Conceived Sorrow (< O__O) and The Pledge - Kyo's voice isn't gone, its just being used differently with a few new surprises thrown in, like the high pitched squeals which are just fantastic

Wow, Hitsugi_love - you got to hear Obscure? Niiiiiiice. It's probably my absolute favourite Diru song, that and FILTH - I can't choose! O_O
I've never seen them live but would go nuts if they played Obscure....

Obscure is a great song. i cant say if it is my fav or not(but i rly like it a lot >_<). For me their best is aint afraid to die . Music composed here is rly on a high level.Very emotional....

then i like mistu no tsuba /tsumi to batsu (it has 2 titles so i hope i wrote em right ^^;;.
Also cage is interestin for Toshiya´s solo here.


MOAB is amazing. i saw DVD despair in the womb and conceived sorrow is *heart*. Also grief and Rotting root.
What i like about Dir en grey is that each album has a different sound. it is always hard for me to pick up one song when my friends ask me to do it cause they want to know their style.
 
yeah they keep changing styles but i still have a soft spot for 6 ugly
btw i do like MOAB don't misunderstand me i just feel like kyo's voice is changing and that he can't do wt he could.... i dont know if its very clear ...anyway ignore that
i think the song i liked best in live was.....maybe increase blue....or obscure .....or child prey cause everyone's singing together and you can see they're pleased....or....merciless cult....gaaahhh i cant chose i think those guys are amazing in live anyway and i wish they'd come to france i dont know why they're snobbing us like that no fair

lol i bought a few while in japan this summer and i think my fave remains the one of kyo in his The Final outfit it looks great as a button ^^
btw would anyone have recent pics of deg? (im too lazy to go through the thread right now) like from MOAB?

Gomen, I dont have any pictures of them... well nothing recent anyway... my computer suffered a minor mishap.... so now its gone... as an added bonus, I have nothing J-rock anymore... but yeah... I dont have any pictures...

i know i was really impressed by them all but mostly by Die cos i was in front of him in Paris....he's so focused during lives it's terrific! i loved it ^^

well that confirms that....their new pics are too dark (as in "we can't see them" kind of dark) in my opinion i wish we could see them better....the only 'clear' pic i've seen of marrow is the poster i have when they have their Rioujouku no ame outfits....

Diru is comming back this summer i'm gonna go see them again!! :3!!
They played merciless cult and dead tree at that part it became really emotional half the audience was in tears and so was kyo ;__; i had such a good time i must go see them again >__<!
i really hope you all get a chance to see them live it's such an amazing experience *__*!

this is a necklace my friends gave me for my 19th birthday .It is kyo´s name in kanji , you should probably know that ^_~. made especially for me*0*. i almost fainted when i saw it back then. i am not sure but i have not heard u can buy this somewhere .. if yes it does not matter cause in my country no *feels special XDDD*** .....waaah....

Agreed on both counts - Diru's ever changing/evolving style is part of what makes them utterly astonishing as artists - you could never acuse them of being stagnant or out of ideas.
Aint Afraid is also in my top five, a truly brilliant masterpiece. I actually had a dream about Kyo which had the closing piano phrase from Aint Afraid playing in the background. After I woke up I felt weird - kinda all warm and secure, if that makes any kind of sense

^Their ever changing style is what really attracted me to them ^^ You had a dream about the closing piano? I have yet to exprerience a dream concerning Diru... T_T
