I just listened to 'The marrow of a bone', and I have to say: I'm really disappointed. It starts nice and mellow with 'Conceived Sorrow', but after that it's just the same repetitive garbage.
@ daki: You lucky duck!
I like their new album, though I must say I tend to lean towards their old 'Yurameki' days, back when Die's hair was really redBut their music just seemed more... I'm not sure what the word is I'm looking for. I guess they had more spunk, and they seemed like they were enjoying what they were doing more than they do now.
*nods in agreement*
I think they're going for the "serious rock band" look, which isn't a bad thing in itself, it's just......
I like spunk.
Take your minds out of the gutter children.
I know, i'm a s ucker for extreme looks, fanservice and copious amounts of fake blood and violence.Yeah, I miss the happiness!! And spunk!!It's not that I don't like their music, but I kinda miss the old days

And most neo-VK bands are a joke, they don't have that same "something" that bands like Diru had (and still have to a lesser extent).
Maybe they're just tired, they are getting old.
I mean 30 is, like, ancient.
Seriously though, all they need is an early night and a nice mug of Horlicks and i'm sure they'll be fine!
Dir en grey is better than ever.
Don't get me wrong, I like songs off of each album. It's just that I'd rather listen to "Grief" or the new version of "Clever Sleazoid" than anything off of Gauze.
