Dersu Uzala by Akira Kurosawa

It is one of his unusual movies, and nothing to do w/ Japan at all, but a great movie. I just watched it yesterday and was sad because it was over...

Friendship between a Russian surveyer and a skilled old hunter, was made in 1975.

Do you remember the part the captain and Dersu almost lost their lives on the frozen lake?
The music, and the sound of pulse used for the captain's despair were just frightening.

unfortunately i do not really remember that part. i saw it a long time ago. but
i have it on video (along with most other kurosawa movies) and now i think ill watch it
again these days. i remember the character of dersu uzala as very impressing.
