Could someone help me with a book title?

I recently purchase a large lot of old Japanese ephemera - letters, books, postcards, photos. There is a partial set of books, perhaps novels, with the same title, published in Meiji 10, according to the publication page. Could someone kindly assist me with a correct translation of the title? I've attached some pics showing some of the great illustrations and the cover and a title page.

Thank you for your help. The so-called Satsuma Rebellion is really a fascinating historical event, and even more interesting without including Tom Cruise in it.
