There's no limit on how much or how often you can ask people to look at stuff, correct stuff, or explain stuff, so take full advantage of it. It is best to catch errors and misunderstandings as early as possible, before they become bad habits you have to unlearn later.
The thing about using a professionally prepared and properly structured text like Genki is that you can be much more sure that subsequent lessons will build upon previous lessons, making it even more important that you read, understand, and are able to apply the grammar points presented. If you're going to blow past something....let it be anything EXCEPT the grammar section.
