Corrections & Such [P5]

Ah, seems like I make these threads once a month
Anyhow I have more sentences I need my せんせい's to correct, I feel like i've came a long way so far lol.

Sentence 1 In English:
The Sea Is Very Beautiful

Sentence 1 In Japanese:
海はとてもきれいなです。

Sentence 2 In English:
I am beautiful

Sentence 2 In Japanese:
わたしはきれいな

Sentence 3 In English:
I will go swimming today

Sentence 3 In Japanese:
わたしはきょうおよぐにいきます。

Sentence 4 In English:
I love mary.

Sentence 4 In Japanese:
わたしはメアリをだいすき。

Sentence 5 In English:
What sports do you like?

Sentence 5 In Japanese:
何スポツがすきますか。

Sentence 6 In English:
I bought a new bag.

わたしはあたらしいかばんをかいました。

Check your textbook again about "how to use na-adjectives".

The -masu stem, not the dictionary form, is used for "to go doing".

えいが is not the object.
11)
はがき is the subject/topic.

I notice from another thread that you're about 125 pages into Genki, and say that you are understanding everything.

I'm not sure what is covered up to page 125, but with the errors you're making I fear you might be leaping through the book with inadequate understanding and practice. Go back and review. Post this sort of thread more often. Let's get the kinks worked out of the basics before you march ahead much farther.

Yeah I shouldn't have made this thread before finishing the grammar explanation, I did this without reading it and trying to make the sentences myself. Thanks.

Actually I haven't finished reading the whole section about grammar for this part but my previous threads I read the grammar then wrote the sentences. I now see that was a bad idea, I just finished this sections vocabulary and jumped to trying to structure sentences without learning how and when to use these new な adjectives and い adjectives. I will post more commonly like you said so I can sort out these dumb mistakes. I'm going to refrain from doing this at night when I'm tired since I make such mistakes

There's no limit on how much or how often you can ask people to look at stuff, correct stuff, or explain stuff, so take full advantage of it. It is best to catch errors and misunderstandings as early as possible, before they become bad habits you have to unlearn later.

The thing about using a professionally prepared and properly structured text like Genki is that you can be much more sure that subsequent lessons will build upon previous lessons, making it even more important that you read, understand, and are able to apply the grammar points presented. If you're going to blow past something....let it be anything EXCEPT the grammar section.

Corrections, I read the grammar lesson this time and I realized stuff.
1) 海はとてもきれいなです。 -> 海はとてもきれいです。
2) わたしはきれいな -> わたしはきれいです。
3) わたしはきょうおよぐにいきます。-> わたしはきょうおよぎにいきます。
4) わたしはメアリをだいすき。-> わたしはメアリがだいすきです。
5) 何スポツがすきますか。-> スポーツは何がすきですか。and maybe 何のスポーツが好きですか。
7) えいがをよくありませんでした。-> それはいいえいがではありませんでした。
11) すみません。いくらははがきですか？ -> すみません。はがきはいくらですか？

Perfect!

5) Both are correct.
