Console crashes and bricking

I am a advid video gamer and one thing i noticed is companys tend to run a system out and not consider quality. Once the consoles hits the shelves its not working or it adventually breaks after 3 to 6 months.
Now so far Nintendo has been careful with quality of a built console despite how small or cheaper the components are. But Microsoft and Sony been cheating with not so good quality of consoles and then have to make console updated models with improvements. So far Microsoft has been trying to make their fan base happy with coverage of warrenties and working on stable firmwear updates. But what i noticed even as a retail sales person, Sony has been sliding threw the background not addressing all of whats been wrong with their consoles by bulstering its power hype and price of the systems. I have ran into many consumers who has problems with their ps3's since the release and alot of them are taken back by lack of customer servive, and game retailers lack of knowledge of how to get their systems repaired. This is a major comparison to how oddly the 360 was secretly noticably fixable even with home remedies despite the Microsoft Ring of Death Warrenty.

Now lets jump ahead. Word is out that sony has a Firmwear lawsuit from two consumers, and the company has been according to the reports giving customer service runarounds to hide their flaws.

What is your view about how the consoles are being built and why is it Nintendohas the least console problems?

Touch wood, I've only had one console break on me, and that was the Wii. We all know about the ring of death, and although I've not experienced it, I did have to get the replacement power pack for the XBox. Going solely on personal experience, I've found Sony to be the most reliable; I still have my Playstation, going on 15 years old now, my ten-year-old PS2 and my two-year-old PS3. The latter is used more than any gadget in the house, barring my laptop, as I use it as a media centre. So far it's going strong.

Thats pretty good you Managed to be the lucky person to have a working ps2 with no problems i hope. But your just a few luck customers besides the thousands who had lots of ps2 problems. Hence i have witnessed them for myself mainly the roms on ps2 were faulty.

I cant say sony is all that reliable becuase Nintendo has put out more reliable systems in the past. The ps1 and ps2 were very defective due to a series of remakes in hardware. Infact the ps2 has gone thru so many revisions i cant even count. And for each ps3 upgrade Sony secretly fixed defects in its hardware also. Alot of ps3 burnout or if you had a 40 or 60 gig it had rom problems and burnouts.

The Wii simply had random defects. And of course the rush 360 had overheating issues and rom issues.

I can say not everyone is lucky with a perfect system, becuase i work in a toy store and i see alot of damage systems come thru. I will admit...sony altogether has the worse systems with he ps2,psp, and ps3 combined next to the older 360 alone. For every one 360 returned i seen more psp's and ps2 combined returned as fast as they can turn them on. Dont forget the psp has been thru at least 4 rebuilds.

I own just about every console and hand held system including a laptop......lol

All consoles are released in sets of models. It is not Sony only. Developers are not sitting there with arms crossed, they are all trying to improve their respective systems.

I never had any problems with Sony consoles either, and all of them were/are release models that barely left the testing phase. My PSP especially, I have subjected to so much abuse and neglect that I am ashamed of myself as an owner, yet it still works.

Yes that's tru too. Companies are putting out updated systems but theirs a reason for that.

1, theirs now a rush to get a system out for a quarterly season selling period like summer or fall xmas shopping season.

2, theirs a rush to get systems out before the other due to possible popular consumer demand. This new trend has breed a brand of rushed systems over time. But a suttle advantage of making systems upgradable components also helps with production time too leading to deminishing quality.
