Which is your beverage of choice?

Even though I drink both, I would class myself as a coffee drinker because I'm very particular about the quality of coffee I drink. I take it black, no sugar. I can't start my day without a cafetiere of Java, and I usually fire up the espresso machine after lunch. However, I rarely drink more than two cups in a day, and it's even rarer for me to drink coffee after mid-afternoon.

I don't like plain black tea, but I always drink a mug of Earl Grey after dinner. You're supposed to drink it black or with lemon, but I like it with milk. At work I drink herb teas, such as peppermint, fennel, nettle or chamomile. I have a drawer in my desk devoted entirely to tea 😊

Do you prefer tea or coffee? And how do you drink them?

I am such a tea person, but I only have herbal and Chinese teas, fennel (great for the gut), chamomile, green tea and proberly my fav oolong tea. I have one of these teas at least once a day. The reason I don't like the 'PG tips' type is because after 2 they make my stomache run :S

I don't drink any of them in any particular way, but I like having them while I'm studying Japanese or reading a good book :)

Coffee i like Coffee so much especially the good quality,Yemeni Coffee is the best,Brazil is second.
i take a ...what do you call this in English? :

i like the Turkey coffee it's very tasty.

cool topic Tsuyoiko ^^ Arigatou

I really enjoy both and had a hard time choosing coffee. I'd been using my French press for making coffee, but today my new coffee maker arrived! Oh boy, it's almost like a magic compared to French press; you grind the beans, pour water and start. No pressing or boiling water, which can be too much involvement in the morning when you're not fully awake but need a fresh brew the most.

I take both my coffee and tea without sugar or milk. My favorite tea right now is Milk Fragrance "Jian Xuan"(Taiwanese oolong that naturally has milk flavor). I'm not crazy about Japanese green teas at all after having several types of Chinese and Taiwanese teas, which I think taste superior and have deeper flavor.

I do not care for warm/hot bevarages in general so I do not drink coffee nor tea unless they are iced. I carry a thermos filled with no-calorie cola and drink it throughout the day. If I had to choose, I would go with (green) tea.

Since I can't stand the taste of coffee, I'll have to go for tea, which I drink with ridiculous quantities of lemon juice, regardless of the type of the tea.

With lemon juice? Interesting, I think I'll try that.

I have not voted yet, as I am torn.

Coffee is something I really enjoy in the wintertime to warm me up in the morning and other times of the day. I generally only drink hot coffee from Fall to the early part of Spring. In Japan, I used to drink iced coffee during the Summer months, which was really refreshing, too.

Tea is another drink I like both hot and cold. Again, hot when it's cold outside and cold when it's hot outside. I like green tea, oolong tea, ceylon tea, mugi-cha (which technically isn't a tea, but I digress), houji-cha, and others.

Normally I would pick tea hands down, but good tea is hard to come by in the U.S. of A. Worse, the premade tea in bottles always has something added to it, be it sugar or citric acid or whatever.

On the other hand, can coffee is virtually nonexistant here, which is a bummer.

NOt that I'm doing poorly, by any means. I stock up on tea when I go to the Japanese market, and I found a coffee here that I like. Next summer I'll have to look into iced coffee.

I am totally a tea guy. I just cannot get into coffee unless it is loaded with stuff that makes it really bad for you. But I like tea just how it is. So for my day to day beverage it is either tea or water for me. Oh and beer on the weekends.

It's coffee for me. Black when it's hot and slightly sweetened with a bit of cream when I drink it iced. I also enjoy a cup of espresso now and then.

I like either! Not sure whether I'm a tea or coffee person... I used to drink only tea, but in the last couple of years I started to drink coffee, and while I'm at work I now drink almost only coffee, but outside of the workplace I will -usually- only drink tea! (except in coffee-shops, where the quality of the tea is disgusting ☝ )

I like tea with milk but no sugar. At home I drink Earl Grey (with milk)... however I also like green tea, camomile and peppermint (all without milk or sugar of course!). I also like iced tea but only the sort that comes in bottles, slightly sweetened (but not too much.. god I'm a picky bugger lol :p)

I usually take coffee with milk and one sugar, but actually I'm not that bothered about the sugar and can equally drink it without (e.g. if someone forgets I just drink it anyways). I used to drink it black but not anymore, don't really know why! I also like iced coffee with milk. :p

I'm definitely a coffee person. I especially like my coffee to be light and sweet, like french vanilla. I'm also the type of person who 'ruins' coffee because I like having lots of sugar and cream. And I'm really big on flavored creams. :p

I do drink tea every now and then.

Between the two I would have to say tea is the one I like more. Nothing beats a nice cup of green tea on a cold winter day with just a touch of sugar.

Now, my favorite hot drink of all has to be a Hot Chocolate or Vanilla from the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf shop. Way better than that stuff Starbucks trys to pass as hot chocolate.

i like both!!!!

it doesn't matter whether it's coffee or tea...
both are great tasting and either of them is good for our body.....👍

For the most part Im a tea-drinker all the way! My stepmother is Chinese and we have about 20 large canisters of different teas from China ^^
If I have to have lots of energy early, like if I have to help in the drama department early in the morning, I'll chug some coffee.
I am just NOT a morning person 😌

I choose coffee also because I am really picky, and need to drink it everyday... In Japan is quite hard to find decent coffee, but sometimes I can get my day started even with simplest instant one (but only if I add extra sugar...)
tea... i have big box of all flavours.. herbal, fruity, I like them all :)

That's interesting to me. I think the coffee in Japan is much, much better than the coffee here in the U.S.A.

it is possible... but, you see, I came from country where coffee is tradition as tea in Japan 😊 and I also never heard that american coffee is good...
"regular" coffee here in Japan is not good for me - other coffee-based beverages - cappuccino, latte, etc - that is actually not so bad (probably due to enormous quantity of other things then coffee😊)

The best coffee I ever drank was in Bruges, Belgium. It was so strong they served it with a glass of water!

😊

that is coffee! 😊

in my country (bosnia) we embraced "turkish" coffee, but also italian espresso :-) and now, even if you order cappuccino, you will get glass of water :p

I am not saying stronger is better - it depends on taste, of course (and strength of heart 😊)... but coffee should be rich in taste - and that is what I miss here
