I will go to Japan in august and I will visit many places like Tokyo, Kyoto , Osaka and Fukuoka.
I would like to experience the Japanese nightlife.
That's why I want to go to night clubs and bars. How old do you have to be to enter a night club or bar in Japan?
I'm 19 years old, but many people think I'm over 20.
Do you think I can participate in the night scene of Japan?
What are the possibilities?
Oh yes, does anyone know good places in Fukuoka to go out?

Thanks 🙂

Heheh clubbing in Japan is a DREAM dude.

Endless girls that LOVETH the foreigner, cheap drinks etc.

In Shibuya tokyo find a place called Club Pure. Only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 1000yen at the door for all you can drink all night. Hip hop and R&B music mind you, but also some SSCORCHING hot womens.

Gaspanic. Hmmm Shibuyas is a rathole. Ropongi is TOO MUCH of a meat market.

What you want is Yokohama Gaspanic on a thursday night. All drinks are 400yen. A stunning collection of girls. Ok music. Oh and their comic 'You MUST have a drink in your hand to stay in Gaspanic' rule.

I honestly say avoid Ropongi. Its meant to be the party capital of Tokyo, but Shibuya and Yokohama are MUCH better.

Remember odds are you'll be doing all nighters as the trains finish running WAY too early. But when the booze is flowing and the women are grinding is that a problem?

Only 19 but look over 20?

I'm 23 and look 18 and I have never, EVER been carded in Japan. I know a 15 year old American girl that is a HUGE clubber. Don't sweat it man.

Yeah, don't even worry about it dude. You have to be 18 to club in Japan anyways. Mind you I'm was clubbing there when I was 16, and never had a problem. I've always been told that many school girls over there go clubbing all the time, and have never had a problem being carded. That's how cool Japan is :-) :-)

no japanese guys are gonna beat the **** out of me for being with a japanese girl at a club? :?

hi
but why would they beat the $hit outta you.
Unless your a *****.

Agreed GASPANIC in Yokohama is better, but the one in Roppongi is not ALL that bad, as plenty of girls came to me there.

Other then GASPANIC Yokohama, has only small bar's, or cabaret's, That's all I found and I covered almost all of Yokohama.

But some places I found fun would be...

Roppongi - 911, PURE, Velfarre, Gaspanic, The Hideout

Shinjuku - Tokyo Loose

I have many more but no time, I will repost again later.. If you go to Tokyo Loose ask for Valentine he is real cool. But be sure to NOT be talked into going into a gentlemens club or hostess club, none of those they will all rip you off.

ive heard of someone getting beat up because they were talking to some girls once but it was probably gangsters that beat that guy up.

but yay now i know i can get japanese pus..friends... without getting my *** kicked :)

The Average Japanese Guy......

is a terrible fighter. They don't grow up in an aggressive society like many of us do. When I was there I was a 5ft 7in scrawny runt and I worked in a bar as a bouncer for a year.I was never hurt in a fight and they ended with 3 punches or less. If you were alone and more then 3 guys hopped on you, you might have a slight problem. Also you will get plenty of warning before trouble starts, just pay attention to your suroundings and leave if you need to. You have a better chance to get hit by lightning then by a Japanese. Based on my experience, not scientific fact!

:?

LOL at Frank's comment, girls will hit on you so dont run around like a child in a toy store, let them come to you...

Frank, my husband is the exception to that rule. He's a little on the small side, but he can tear you up if he's mad enough(and he can get pretty hot). He broke a few of his sister's husband's ribs and an arm and who knows what else. He told me that story once and he is not proud of it, because he refuses to talk about it even now. He's not scared of anybody, I don't think... ☝ Of course, he's a little on the...'tough' side... :? He can act so sweeeeeeeet, but if he gets mad, you better get out of the way.

Hmm... from what I've seen the majority of the Japanese guys appeared to be a little on the soft side. When in Japan I was amazed that martial arts isn't a really huge thing. I thought that because most martial arts originated in Asia they would be an activity that everyone participates in. Not True. The guys are more interested in western sports and activites.

As kirei mentioned small guys can be like a cyclone. (check out the Japanese ultimate fighters. check out the fights not the records.) Most Japanese guys are humble though so if they do know how to fight they probably won't show it outwardly

Genius, I noticed this aswell.. the guy's I knew who were Japanese natives are very soft, it's so wierd as they are scared of things and are a bit girly. But do not take this as an offensive comment as Japanese guys are some of the nicest/coolest people you can go and have fun with.

so it's true? you can actually scare most japanese with pure height advantage?... muhuh...muhuhu.....MUAHAHAHAHA!! I'LL BE A GOD!!... ermm...

i mean... you know... if i started acting like that, there'd most definatelly bethe "one guy in 20" that would smack me down soooo quick..

Well from my experience Japanese people are not that short.. I didn't find them to be so short as said.

woooohooooo!!!! clubbing in japan an experience i've been told that cant be missed. well i have a year to experience this as im gonna be an exchange student. ooooooh yeah.

yeah clubbing here is ssweeet.. 8)
I usually go every friday and sat, but sometimes also thursdays..sundays..wednesdays..

They just opened up an new place in Osaka by the way, called Saza-e. It is _very_ stylish, very cool and i definetly recommend it..but (!), if youre the type that wants to get really drunk and fool around, then dont go there..please..!!
Then again,if you want to _enjoy the music, athmosphere, venue and the people_, its your place..
