Can I know how Japanese high school system works? For example, 3-A組、etc.

Which class is the smartest, and which is what and so on?

Class formation in high school
1.Don't bias your grades between classes.
2.Equal ratio of men and women.
3.Elective subjects.
4.Leadership.
5.Relationships.

・Organize classes so that the average score of each class is the same.
・Be sure to include leaders in the class.
・I do not arrange the strongest class.
・Finally, I check human relations and decide けを for a class

Twins or the brothers make it another class.
There is one student who can do a piano performance in the class
I do class formation so that a difference does not go for the athletic capability of the student.

Classes within a single high school are not divided depending on which is the "smartest".

3年A組 and 3年B組 are just third year, class A and class B. They're just groupings. The letter does not indicate how "smart" each class is.

In the general high school, the scholastic ability of the class becomes equal.

There is a special advance class in preparatory school.
Smart students are gathered.

So, is 高2, the highest level for the school system in Japan? I assume it is for 17 years old students?

No, in Japan there are 6 levels in elementary school (小), 3 in middle school (中) and 3 in high school (高).

What is the system in your country?
