already in the first one when I saw the necklaces I was like "Hey! look! it's Wedlock!" (as i think many others did) then in the second they basically made the necklace an exact copy of the wedlock necklace..

(if you don't know what I mean when I say Wedlock, it's this old movie about a completely open prison in america in the future using these exact same necklaces to keep prisoners inside the prison.. except you didn't know who your "partner" was so you couldn't just make a two man escape...)

Hell yeah! Damn I've been trying to remember the name of that film for ages!!
Thank god for that lol...

They were called wedding partners or something like that right? I remember seeing the trailer almost 10 years ago!
Battle Royale, boths films... Better I reckon.

Excellent movie, I really thought the very political message of the second was was rather interesting. This is a movie that should be watched by all who appreciate Japanese cinema and gore films

Poor kid >.< it took me two days to finish watching both BR and BR2 but BR2 wasn't as good as BR1!!!! they changed soooo many rules!!!!! and that Kiriyama kid is just creepy!!!!! sorry if you're a kiriyama fan~

Great movies, i have them both on DVD also and i agree that BR 1 was better.

I remember watching it and i was in college at the time and i remember thinking...if that happened to me...id win lol.
But i always wondered if they went on BR island to become better adults....then the surviver, having killed so many of their classmates would be emotionally F-ed. I mean imagine someone who has killed at least 3 people running around free and then imagine maybe 100 of them running around..im not sure the world would be a better place lol

and nanahara acted kinda like Light from death note!!! <since they're the same actor Lol> have anyone notice that in BR1 the life jacket the kid weared WORKED!!!!! <even though Kiriyama stole it afterwards> but in BR2 EVERYONE was wearing life jacket but NONE WORKED!! WUT THE BLOODY HELL!!!!!!! and our poor Shiori had to die >___________<....

If Battle Royale was real, how many schoolkids would think about getting into trouble at school? The mind does start to wander as to the possibilities of this becoming truth. Mind you an easier way might be to introduce Conscription into the armed forces, there are a few European countries whose public think it could be just what is needed.

Going on topic for a bit sorry.

Conscription at 16-18 sounds like a great idea ive been saying since i was 16. At least kids coming out would know how to drive, hopefully have more morals then their parents taught them and for some even a career. What they should do as well is hold back any pay they got till they left which could be used for classes instead of getting loans leaving our kids broke and in dept by the time they are 23. Also even if they did commit any crime when they left at least we can trial them as adults instead of all this 6 months and an ASBO BS.

Rant being over BR as a reality is disturbing but ive left high school so i think they should do it lol. See how many refugees we get also.
