Artists needed!

Ok, here's the deal. I'm thinking of buying some water bottles for my Kendo dojo. Some of the squeeze bottles with the long straws, so that the kids can drink from them without removing their -men. Well, when researching the bottles, I decided it would be cool to have the dojo name on them with some type of picture also. I am buying enough for each kid to have his/her own bottle, and I am buying extra (maybe 100 or 200) to give to the other dojo's when they visit.

Here is what I am asking for: If you are good at artistry, or photoshop or anything, create an original piece of work, post it here or you can email it to me. The one with the best work (maybe not necessarily the best, but best suited for the application) I will send you one of the bottles when the first order comes in! I know it's not much, but at least you'll be able to show it to people and say that you made it!

I'm think of mainly sillouettes. I would like at least one to be just a men. Maybe one be of two Kenoist in a match, and you may also submit anything else that you think is suitable.

Well, i'm no artist but I like your idea about the silhouettes. How about having two crossed shinai in the background "X-style" with a men superimposed over the front (kind of like an old-skool skull-and-crossbones)? Simple but with impact. You could even have the name of your dojo running underneath if so desired.

these are just a few pics that I found. I still prefer to have just a sillouette. I am working on a few ideas myself, but I suck at artwork and would love some help from anyone with any skills.

Ok I just finished it...

I just choosed some colors I tought that might looked the best for it,
If you like it or want something to change about it, I have it in vector format, the be specific, in .ai (Adobe Illustrator)

Offcourse, there might be need to change some things, I always work in pieces and different layers so if you want something to see different, tell me and it is done in no time.

Note about the face, I left out all the details there, because you will get a dense and uncomfortable effect when you print it on smaller cups.
Offcourse, the same here, I can change it

i will work something out to, what is the name of the dojo??? does the dojo have a logo? and can you show me some photo's of the dojo, and the training! with that it would be easyer to make a good one!!

@ dutch baka we are not putting the dojo name on the logo. It will say Okinawa Kenshikan somewhere on it...probably the bottom. I will put the kanji on here later...I'm getting ready to go into work now. As for photos of the dojo, I will need to take some, I don't think I actually have a photo on hand here with me!

hey there, sorry im not talented enough to make my own design but i thought maybe you could just have a sword or 2 clashing, i mean that would not be expnesive and you could be rite at the point of things

thnx syntax, yeah i need to make some other ones, and make it sharper yeah, but im really bussy so i hope i have some time left in the weekend... i have an english test next saturday, and in 4 weeks i go to japan, so lots of things to do, but im sure i can make some time some time.

dutch baka...no worries, there is no real deadline on this (just pressure from wife and friends) but I have found a way to pacify them for a while. I was trying to finish my part of this so that I could place an order and have it by August....but now I'm shooting for a November timeline...no worries...lots of time for anyone interested!
