After what happened in WW2, are there some hidden evil that are happening in modern context?

If you Google "Malaysia-Human Rights Watch" , it tells a lot of history about the evils of the government & the police in your country. Many people around the world condemn Malaysia for the way they treat it's people. Does that mean "all" the people of your country are evil at heart?? How long should the evils of many years ago be blamed on the people who were not alive at that time and are very different today ??

There are so many countries that have done something evil in the past, that's part of war in which people go crazy and do evil things. Sadly there will always be people with evil things in mind.

I think evil balances the good in an environment of human nature. In nature it's more like the prey going against the weak. I often wonder if we are part of this animal world. So what is evil ? Is it a nature innate feeling in a percentage of people?

Evil is not something a person can be, though they may partake in evil acts in one way or another.

Evil does exist out there and seem to arise by itself, but no plant is without root; there are causes and conditions that lead to evil decisions.

We see evil everywhere we look for it.

So, we can talk all day about the evil one person or group of people did, but when we try to talk about who is evil as an innate quality, it falls apart. If you were raised in Japan leading into WW2, you would've gotten swept up in the war whether you were willing or not. Does that make you evil, or did you just make a series of choices given the world that stood before you. Maybe some of those choices could be considered evil, so it's up to your own beliefs how you will be judged.

It's really sad to see us still trying to paint with such broad strokes.
