The japanese celebrities, pop-stars etc I see pictures of sometimes are usually stunningly beautiful people but looking at 100 different normal street view pictures from central Tokyo or some other japanese city the vast majority of people look just as average as the majority of people elsewhere.

It's not racism at all. Keep in mind, the thread title never said anything like "gorgeous" or "beautiful". It's no secret that Asians tend to look the way I've seen them described here.

I suppose I can't really speak for everyone here, but I don't think that the "cuteness" we're talking about here is in the sort of "perfect features" you're thinking of. I think we're talking more about general groups of features which tend to be exclusive to Asian people.

I appreciate common Asian features, such as the wider/flatter nasal bridge, the darker eyes, darker, straighter hair, being shorter, etc. I find these features to be attractive regardless of how "pretty" or "ugly" an Asian woman is. You don't have to be a gorgeous person to have some incredibly attractive features. Does that makes sense?

An Australian colleague of mine commented that in general, Asians do look younger than their age compared to people from other races. Also, many Asian females (even males) do love taking good care of their appearances.

But i agree with some of you, the pictures do look a bit creepy...

But in general, I guess (just for myself) I will agree that Asians do look younger over other races. I used to mistakenly predict a westernian's age. They look look older for me based on appearance. Do you know if it's only common among famous people, or if the general public sees a lot of plastic surgery? It wouldn't surprise me at all to hear that there's a lot of plastic surgery among stars, but I couldn't really see regular people doing it in mass numbers. In Korea, they do that in mass numbers.. We had a korean member in MAL who just by random posted on some threads. Then I've asked her about this surgery stuffs in Korea, and she says that it's true.. And we have a doctor as well here in the Phils who is plastic surgeon, he earns about 1 million pesos a week, and that is about $25,000 dollars a week in Korea. He stated as well that he got at least 5 new patients coming into his clinic everyday, but he couldn't accomodate them all so he will just endorse them on some other's clinic in THAT same building.. So there is a building in Korea exclusive for plastic surgeon's clinic. He got his own Ferrari in 5 months, unfortunately this surgeon died of lung cancer like a year ago. Oh well, his money wasn't able to save him.
