Any Stargate SG 1 Fans?

I love the show and a huge fan but I get behind. Is anybody a fan or could someone catch me up? I just finished Season 5 (I get it on a Japanese Cable) and I know they start Season 8 soon in the States.

I never watched it when it was first on TV but I have just recently got into it. I have got the first 3 series and have just started the 4th series. I think there is another spin-off series starting in the Autumn.

I like the Sci-Fi channel, where they have a mini-website for SG-1 (Scifi.com), and they are going for a special, to introduce the new SG-Atlantis (Scifi.com). They even got a transcript of a chat between RDAnderson and some fans (Scifi.com).

Oh, I love sci-fi and combining that with the fact that I loved the movie Stargate and I grow up watching Macgyver, this is one of my favourite shows.

You and me both..I'm a diehard fan a little bit behind. How far into the show are you?

OMG, i loved that show! for a while it was my favorite, i liked how each episode there was something new in the big universe beyond the stargate! i came in during the season with the new guy...i think his name was coren or something? anyway, i fell in love, and then the next season they brought back daniel, and i sobbed a bi cause i had a crush on the new guy. but i stopped watching that season because they started to rehash on some of the older stories and i got kinda boring on some parts. and then i started watching other channels ^_^;;; but for a while the sci-fi channel was the on;y one i watched.

I think I'm up to season 7. I have some friends that usually have their hard-drive up to date, though sometimes I don't follow a linear line and just watch what is at hand.

I do like SG-1, though for me the best sci-fi show was Babylon 5, because it was a show that slowly build up to the final 5-6 season finale. It would be great to have production companies betting on a closed-story series, instead of dragging it on and on, as long as it has decent ratings. I kind of fear that they will do that to SG-1.

Well...you suck...nah, just kidding. Did you mean season 7 or 8? Also, was it good?

I do like SG-1, though for me the best sci-fi show was Babylon 5, because it was a show that slowly build up to the final 5-6 season finale. It would be great to have production companies betting on a closed-story series, instead of dragging it on and on, as long as it has decent ratings. I kind of fear that they will do that to SG-1.

Babylon 5 was a five season series (only counting the original not spinoffs). Yes, Babylon 5 was an AWESOME series...I loved all of it up to Season 5 then it got kind of off the story a bit and turned weird...know what I mean?

So far, Stargate hasn't let me down but your are right....after a while it is just time to stop. They have been postponing Stargate 2 movie because of the show...so, I've been looking forward to that if it ever happens.

I like Stargate SG-1 but i normally missed the episodes because they would be shown on a sunday morning and i was always sleeping off a night out.

I've heard that there is going to be a new Stargate SG-1 spin off called Stargate : Atlantis or something.. might be interesting

Europeans are lucky for some reason. They usually get to view all of it first? Why is that?

Then Americans and finally Japan (which is me..and why I'm only on season 5 and 6)

Well, could've been season 5 or 6 just as well, I dunno... It's the season where Daniel joined the team again. In the season before that, he was some higher being and was replaced by some other guy (don't recall his name right now).
Anyway, that's the most actual season over here.
