well for your sentence, Sakana ga suki desu ka. means do you like fish? for Pizza, you would just say Piza ga suki desu. This means, I like Pizza. well let keep chatting.

could someone please clear something up for me - words like man'in and kin'ensha - are they pronounced kin-yen-sha or kin-en-sha? might be a stupid question i dont know

"Kinensha" and "manin"...not a stupid question, there's just no "yen" or "yin" sound in Japanese.

This actually means How many years will you study Japanese? If you want to ask How long have you been studying? you need to say "Nannenkan (or just "Dore gurai" for the possibility it may be less than that amount) Nihongo wo benkyou shite imasuka?

I think you just have to be consistent. These are the possibilities as I understand them.

koko ni iru (no) ka (soretomo) asoko ni iru (no) ka?

koko ni iru (no) (soretomo) asoko ni iru (no)?


The words in parentheses make it slightly more formal sounding.
