In the sentence スーパーはいえからちかければ、ちかいほどべんりです, can に be used instead of から?

Yes. から has a nuance that 家 is the starting point to measure distance. Incidentally, unlike から, に can't be used with 遠い. Only から works well.

〇スーパーは家から近い。
〇スーパーは家に近い。

〇スーパーは家から遠い。
×スーパーは家に遠い。
