since the back of this has different info than the last one about which I inquired, any more info than the soldier's name appreciated.

I understand that the left column on front is his name but what does the right column say? it is the same on both my hokobukuro (is there a plural form of this word other than "hokobukuros?"), so it is obviously a standard statement but I would very much like to know what it says, as well as the reverse, since it also is different than my other one.

Thank you all again.

The soldier's name is 大橋正次 Ōhashi Masatsugu(or Shōji).

I understand that the left column on front is his name but what does the right column say?
Literally, "hokobukuro".

is there a plural form of this word other than "hokobukuros?"
There is no difference between singular and plural nouns in Japanese except a few exceptions.

as well as the reverse, since it also is different than my other one.
What is written on both your bags are completely the same.
