Does anybody know of a good book on earthquakes in Japan? I would like one that encompasses the geology/geography, plate tectonics and a history of the major quakes. I hope I am not asking for too much. I've been searching on the internet and just can't seem to find something of the sort. I have a fascination with earthquakes. They terrify me, yet somehow the more I read the more I want to know about them. It's kind of like facing one of your fears from a safe distance. Any suggestions are most welcome!

Hey, that looks great. Jeez, I read bits and pieces and it really scares me, but I have to read more. Information and details make me feel like I have a little control. I live in an area where we get severe storms and tornados, I have read tons of books on them and feel prepared when a bad storm heads my way. I understand that you can't really plan on an earthquake coming like a storm, but knowing what happens, what to expect and why things happen eases my trepidation and calms some of my fears.
