Anyone read this book on the Crusades?

I've heard there are still a few people in the US who are so ignorant that they insist the earth is flat. Perhaps there are a few such ignorant people in Muslim countries also.

The Flat Earth Society -- Home

LOL!
I think we should call them idiots rather than ignorant..Who still thinks that the earth is flat is definitly idiot,But the worse is that they qoute some source from some books to support their claims mistakenly.
Wow, you almost caught yourself doing a bit of objective thinking there Hezam. Remember, you have to always have to support why you say "this is correct." If you do read that book, then both your belief AND that book are subject to the same requirements.
Well,As you know in the historical stories there is always a hidden part of the fact,You and I were not there to make sure that "This is the fact"...
And i said correct above because both sides (Muslims & Christians) agreed about the Crusades.

Memri programme. They produce some class A shite, but I digress.

There is a Flat earth Society with their own forum. In their world everything they think is logically and fits. When something is shown to be against their beliefs then they make sh!t up and bastardize science. This is no different to Young Earth Creationists like Kent Hovind and Ken Ham; or people who believe the quran is scientific like Harun Hahya. The only difference here is that the flat earthers are not always using religion and thus get mocked more. When religion is the driving force behind it is suddenly becomes disrepectful and not allowed to mock. A clear case of double standards at work.

Christians and Muslism agree on that, but the history of the same event is different epending on who you read. An islamic text will say it was openly christian aggression and that over the years the islamic armies overcame the evil and fought valiantly against the cruel and inhuman crusaders. The crusaders will be depicted as barbaric, bloody thirsty, murderers. Yet a christian text will say exactly the same thing. The muslims were barbaric, blood thirsty, murderers. Both will cite their version of god as calling them to slain the oppressor and then claim a victory at the end. What we must do, as the generations that follow, is to pick and sift through the texts and try and find the truth. We must try and be objective.
