A few corrections and the proper use/definition of a few words

Firstly, I hope these kinds of threads aren't too bothersome when posted often by the same person. I've been trying to teach myself Japanese for the past few years, and I don't have access to a tutor or classroom, just books I've picked up at Barnes and Noble and the internet, so I apologize if I end up being a bother. :sorry:

So, what I'm asking for today is confirmation on a few sentences and the proper use/definition for a few words that I've been unable to find anywhere.

向き不向きって あるだろう

The dictionary says: 向き不向きが有る 【むきふむきがある】 (exp) to have one's own field of work. So would it be appropriate to translate it as "I would have my own field of work"? And is it "field of work" in this sense, or more like your own practice (if you're a doctor, etc.)?

proposed translation: [I'll] say it again... [this] isn't a memory.
十分記念だって…大事な傷だ
proposed translation: A memory lasts 10 minutes... this is an important wound.

All I can really get out of this sentence is "An important person of the hospital's daughter..." and then my brain starts to melt. ._. It seems like it should be a fairly simple sentence to work with, but I just can't seem to get my mind around it.

Is this just a way of saying "[I was in such a rush], it was the first thing I grabbed on the way out"?

Again, another one of those sentences that just runs me around in circles.

I think probably "you're saying that again..." but it's hard to know without context. As for the second one, "sufficient memory? It's an important wound." I'm having problems with this one without context. Also 十分 doesn't always mean "ten minutes."

There's something in there about it becoming a bad place to be, and something about being fired, but I don't know about the フッちゃって part.

I'm pretty sure you're dealing with three words here: 今, なら, and まだ. "It's still not done now," or something like that.

I guess that's close; I'm not really sure. However, I do know that 面倒真い should be 面倒臭い.

Yeah, this one's a bit too colloquial for me. :sorry: Well, that probably didn't do you too much good, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway.

Literally : Because studies of breaking your troublesome habit are already known. This is the word for brake that is used to stop something.

Unfortunately, I can't really understand what's going on at this point even with pictures. I'm guessing it's a (really awkward) transition to a flashback. Character A had cut his finger and went to a clinic where Character B works as a clinician. Character B and Character A used to be best friends in highschool but haven't seen each other since graduation. Does that help at all with context? :x :?

Also, I'm dumb. ^^ I just realized that the time gap between when they last saw each other and now is 10 years, so 十分, right?

If it isn't 10 minutes, they might be saying "This can be called a commemoration (or 'reunion', "記念" is more like marking an anniversary, memorializing, not really personal memory) enough (十分)....it is an important wound." Kind of odd, but....

Here, "kinen" means "memento."
"You're saying it again. It's not memento."
"It IS a memento. (Literally: It is adequate to be considered memento.) It is an important wound (probably meant both physically and mentally)."

...Like being fired or becoming uncomfortable about sticking to the job because you jilted the daughter of a big shot at the hospital...

It begins with a small "tsu" to show that the speaker grunted a bit to express strain or exertion of strength. I think びっ掴んで is actually "hittsukannde." ひ is added to show exaggeration, that the grabbing takes place with great force.
"I just grabbed my belongings and left" (said with gestures, probably).

This is an incomplete sentence, so depends on context. It literally means "still possible (or not yet), at this point in time."

面倒真い: Isn't this supposed to be 面倒臭い (mendoukusai or mendokusai)?
I/he/she/we/they know your troublesome habit of braking (as in a car; probably suggesting that the person stops his car--or his career--habitually??)

Dialogue very often is not structured in standard form.
Fujisawa, you like "playing doctor" quite a bit, don't you. You were really into it the other day...

No, it's most likely the hiragana of 鋏む、(or 挿む ?)....although I've been wrong before, I sort of wonder if this the best way to learn conversational Japanese needed to make yourself clear as a foreigner. Must make it way more difficult to say the least.

"Shijo wo hasamu" is a phrase that literally means "mixing up private interests or feelings with public or professional interests."

The sentence means the director is a person who will not allow his own personal views and feelings to get in the way. He's not cold-hearted, he's just professional and objective.
