2 kyuu JLPT listening practice

I am going to take the JLPT tomorrow, and have found this website with listening practice on it... but it sound very easy, is it really as easy as on this website? Any advice is welcome.

Already trying to tackle 2kyu??
I've been learning Japanese for 3 months and am taking 3kyu myself.
The quizz from the website seem to be at the 3kyu level (IMHO) since after listening to a couple of them I could understand them pretty well.

I don't have a lot of confidence but I should be able to pass the sections except for the reading section haha.

I will take the test again upcoming summer, and then I should be able to pass all sections... well at least pass the test. lol

I did the 1kyuu part as well, and could answer some of them but they seem pretty hard.

Well if you've been in a Japanese environment for 2 years already, I don't think you should have problems during the choukai. For the rest, there are tons of exercise books/CDs from past years tests.
Still, your first sentence sounds 200% japanese to me so it seems like you're totally used to the language and culture XD

Edit: On another note, the site indicates indeed that these are 2kyu level so maybe my listening abilities somehow got better than I thought? (let's think positive)

Edit2: I absolutely don't understand half of the vocab for the 1kyu though XD

wow, if this is for 2kyu, it is really easy. actually, it might be this easy. my friend is also preparing for 2kyu, and one day I was with her, listening questions for test, from the book. it was also quite easy, actually I was really surprised how much did I understood

I'm taking 2kyu tomorrow also. I found the listening questions really easy. The 1kyu questions seemed more realistic for a "test" but I don't know. It would be great if it really is that easy tomorrow!

I'm guessing these are the 1級 questions.

I replaced the 2 in /listen2q/ with a 1, and it says "Level 1" at the top, which I assume means 1級. If that's the case, I'm feeling pretty good about being able to pass the 1級. Sometimes I space out and miss details, but I've gotten over 70% right so far (out of 11).

Nice find, Dutch. That's pretty good practice, as it's in the format of the test, and it'll force you to focus on the details (or maybe I should say it forces me to focus on the details). Plus there are some good real-life situations in there, like the train reservations and the best-train-to-take scenario and whatnot. It's been a while since I've heard 指定席 (since I was in Japan). Thanks for posting!

i'll pass 2 kyu next year and i need some books to study cause i'm studying alone so can some one help? please!!?
i need books with English explanations for the grammar part.....

Okay, well the actual test was a bit harder than the majority of study material I used. However, I was very nervous after being ATTACKED BY A WEIRDASS ON THE TRAIN THAT MORNING and my heart didn't stop wanting to jump out of my chest the entire time. That may have made things seem harder as well. I think I passed though becuase for the most part I sped right through everything....I hope I passed!

The main texts I used were:

どんな時どう使う日本語表現文型500
Publisher アルク

日本語能力試験２級
Publisher UNICOM

However the first one is just grammar and the second one is just reading comprehension. Neither of those books have any English explaination at all but I think they're both very solid books. There are tons of online resources so maybe utilize those too.

Afaik there is no JLPT session in February oO
Are you referring to the results being sent maybe?

I think being able to pass JLPT2 after two years of being Japan is not exactly common. Do you study full time? Are you a genius? Or do you already know the kanji (I see that you're ethnically Chinese.)

I wasn't referring to the whole JLPT test but only the listening section(聴解)^^'

Within 3 months here I was able to understand pretty much all the 3kyuu sentences. I assume that with 2 years you can easily pass the 2 kyuu "listening section" of the exam.

Also, regarding kanjis, the most difficult part is when they start to be combined.
Learning kanjis one by one is pretty simple, and 3-4 months are enough to learn about 400-500 with 1-2 hours a day, but the on-yomi and kun-yomi thing really scrambles my mind...

I'm taking L2 in London tomorrow, that link is great! I was never worried about the listening part to be honest but if it is that easy it's really great. My weakness is the kanji reading comprehension part. Sensei told me I'll probably flunk it XD ☝ Oh well I will probably just try it again with much better chances in July.
