Because that's grammatically wrong. でも人生にはその他に、自由に決められることがある is valid.Why? This is quite a longshot but, is it because I am using a potential verb?
The conditional "if those two really were the only two things that we couldn't decide" is impossible in the example sentence, as I pointed out.But if those two really were the only two things that we couldn't decide, then the sentence would be wrong, right?
