Hiya,
1. This is information about a report:
平成21年速報版、平成20年10月1日現在
I am not very clear what 速報版 and 現在 mean here. I'm wondering if it's saying that the report was originally published on 平成20年10月1日 but reissued in 平成21, but it's a bit of a wild guess.
Translation given: "The socialist was accompanied by a female interpreter."
Why させて? The socialist made/let her accompany him?
3. This is from a version of 竹取物語. The old man has just noticed the strange glowing bamboo stalk.
To me, 不思議に looks adverbial ("strangely"), and 不思議に思ったおじいさん therefore seems to mean "the old man who was thinking strangely", which is not right. Could 不思議 be a noun, and に mark this as the target of his thought?
Translation given: "There's no mistaking about that."
Is the last part of this essentially If so, what is っ doing there?
