自然の中の音

Hi! I'm currently studying from a textbook called 中級を学ぼう and ran across this sentence.

また自然の中の音、例えば波の音、小鳥の鳴き声を聞い て心がいやされたりする。

I understand the sentence, but I was wondering why is it 自然の中の音? I know if I were writing it myself I would just say 自然の音. Is there a specific nuance by adding の中？
