I have come across 瞬間 more frequently, and I find it and 瞬時 to be of very similar nature. I have read some people noting that 瞬時 is appropriate in written form (more so than in speech?). I've seen 瞬時 compounded into 「瞬時に」(~instantly, in the blink of an eye), can it instead be written as「瞬間に」for the same interpretation?
