Hiya,
1. This is part of an explanation of the word つい:
無意識にする/してはいけないと思っていてもそれをしてしまう場合によく使う。
Initially I assumed this was going to mean something like "Often used when someone doesn't consciously intend to do something but ends up doing it anyway."
However, I can't actually seem to get that meaning out of it. In particular, I'm uncertain about how 無意識に fits or what it modifies. To get the expected meaning, I want it to modify それをして, but it seems to actually modify either する/して or 思っていて. I suppose modifying 思っていて makes more sense, but it still doesn't seem exactly right to me. How does this part of the sentence work?
2. これから作文を書いてもらいます。
I'm not sure what situation this would be said in, or whether it's an instruction, or statement, or what (there's no further context; it's an isolated example sentence). Could it be like a teacher saying "Now I want you to write an essay for me"?
2. These are instructions for a writing exercise:
いつまでに何をしなければならないか書いてみましょう。
The combination いつまでに何...か confuses me a little. Could this mean "Write about what you have to do and when you have to do it by"?
3. い、いっつも食べ物で懐柔されるとは、限りませんからねっ。
Translation given: "Don't think you'll always be able to placate me with food!"
a) What is the い at the start? Just an exclamation? [Edit: or maybe a stutter?]
b) Is いっつも a more emphatic version of いつも?
c) How does 限りません, which seems to be referring to absence of limit, result in a meaning like "Don't think you'll be able to ..."?
