Is 消してはくれない (as opposed to 消してくれない) for emphasis again? I had a similar previous question I think, but would just like to double-check that this is the same idea...

It's hard to make sense of out of context perhaps, but it's saying that Harry's cloak of invisibility doesn't make him immaterial.
