Hi,
1. "心"の中の様々なひずみを、ごく日常的なものとして受 け入れているかのような現代人の、健康観とストレスの あり様を探ってみた。
I understand "心"の中の様々なひずみを、ごく日常的なものとして受 け入れているかのような現代人 to mean "today's generation, who seem to accept these various psychological stresses as commonplace".
Then I am a bit unsure. Is の a possessive particle? If so, is the comma correct? What does あり様 mean? Who/what is the subject of 探ってみた? Could it be some unnamed subject who conducted a survey?
2. その消防夫は勇敢にも燃え盛る家から赤ん坊を救った。
Translation given: "The brave fireman rescued a boy from the burning house." [probably "boy" should read "baby"]
I'm assuming 勇敢に is adverbial, but what is the purpose of も? I apologise if this is similar to some questions I have asked before.
3. This is part of the results of a survey into stress:
「仕事上の人間関係」は女性49%、男性34%と男女 差が目立ち、めざましい社会進出の陰の女性の悩みを浮 き彫りにしている。
I get: "'Relationship with your boss', (identified as a concern by) 49% of women and 34% of men, stood out as a difference between the sexes, and highlighted ... ??? ..."
a) Could めざましい社会進出の陰の女性の悩み mean something like "women's concerns resulting from / following on from their remarkable advancement in society"? I am not very sure about 陰, especially.
b) Is the と in 男性34%と a quoting particle?
4. 各選択肢とも三十、四十歳代で高率なのが目立ち、何ら かの答えをあげた人はいずれも9割を超えるなど、・・ ・
My translation: "Across all choices [all possible symptoms of stress that people surveyed were asked about], the high rate [of stress symptoms] among people in their 30s and 40s stood out, and the proportion of people [in these age groups] who gave some answer [i.e experienced some stress symptom] exceeded 90%."
a) What is the exact purpose of とも?
b) What is the purpose of いずれも? Could it mean something like "in total"?
