I am kind of unsure about this sentence.

It's "For the sake of dreaming/having a dream we desired a world without dreams" or something right?
This used to have a lot more to it. Until I realized that it was the attributive の. Still, I would like to know if the translation is right, just so I didn't make a completely pointless thread, and it doesn't really make sense anyway. This is a random line out of a song I chose because I understood all the words. So there is probably context stuff I am missing which is most likely why it doesn't make sense.
And also, what does 無い世界 mean? Because I just found it on it's own shortly after this line.
