Hey guys,
I'm having some trouble translating and hope you can help.
夢なら夢のままがよかったというほど現実味のないリア ルな世界でその星は瞬きする間に消えた.
My try was: The more I think it's best if a dream stays a dream, the more in the real world, that I have no grasp on, the star already disappeared, when I still see it twinkling.
But this doesn't make too much sense that way, right?!
So it's about the fact that the stars we see now from the earth actually already disappeared many years ago and only their light can still be seen? From the context it may also have something to do with death symbolism.
And another one:
「俺の心臓にはそこにはない。君だってそうだろうＡさ んよ。」
My heart isn't there. And neither is yours, huh A-san.
Maybe context is needed for this. A-san and B-san are lying in bed. A-san listens to B-sans heartbeat, while thinking B-san is asleep. A-san falls asleep then. B-san has been awake all the time but stayed silent and then complains in his thoughtｓ about B-san being so clingy. Then the aformentioned sentence follows. It's a manga scene and I totally don't get what this is about. It might also be that the manga is simply wierd or I just don't get the characters. So feel free to just ignore this, if it just causes confusion...

Those stars disappeared in the blink of an eye in this real world that's so unreal it would be better off as a dream.

I don't think it's a particularly well-written sentence in Japanese..mostly because of 現実味のない and リアルな世界

but the problem with your translation though is that you didn't properly see what ほど is connecting to, actually I don't think you understood how the whole sentence was connected in general, which I don't blame you for

and I actually think 瞬きする間に is referring to a blink of the eye instead of the star, since 瞬きする間 is an idiomatic usage that's often used to mean 'in an instant' or 'in the blink of an eye'

Your 2nd sentence looks OK, though you are right it is a bit confusing

PS I just realized the ほど you tried to translate the sentence as was the ほど which is used in (for example) 安ければ安いほどいい where the more something is the X it is.

However the ほど in this sentence is closer to くらい in meaning.

For example (I pulled these off google):
新しいものを買いたくなるほど、修理費はバカ高なんでしょう？ The repair fees are so stupidly high that one would rather buy a new one instead

写真は、行きたくなるほど素晴らしい The pictures are so awesome that I want to go there now

我慢できないほど痛い It hurts so much that I can't stand it

As you can see the nuance is a bit different for this usage of ほど

瞬きする is read まばたきする and only means "to blink (eye's blink)" nowadays, as tokkyo-san pointed out. "To twinkle (star's twinkle)" is またたく, and is never used in the form "またたきする". (またたく originally meant "to blink". An idiom 瞬く間に[またたくまに] "in an instant" is a remnant of it.)

My heart isn't there. And neither is yours, huh A-san.

It exactly means so. You are reading so-called 二次創作 works, maybe? If so, you need to know the characteristics of the original characters.

Thank you very much for the answers tokkyo and Toritoribe. I understand quite a bit more now. Totally forgot that meaning of ほど. Makes much more sense now.
As for the second sentence, you're right about it being 二次創作 and probably being a matter of the characteristics of the original characters, Toritoribe.
