1. This is an explanation of 倒置文:
相手が知っている結果をもう一度繰り返すことで理由の 部分を強調する。
My translation: "Emphasises an explanation (lit. part that explains) by repeating a conclusion that the addressee already knows."
Have I understood the structure of this sentence correctly? I am not very sure, especially, about the role of で, which I translated as "by".
2. 相手の気持ちというのはなかなか分からないものだ。
My translation: "It's hard to know what other people are thinking."
a) Does 相手 just mean "other people" in general, or does it have a more specific meaning here -- like someone one is actually talking to, or one's partner (in some sense)?
b) What is という adding here? How would the meaning change if というの was removed?

A: 「どうしてそんなに怒っているの」
B: 「だって、山田君がひどいことを言ったんだもん」
My translation:
A: "Why are you so angry?"
B: "Because Yamada said some nasty things."
I'm embarrassed to ask this, but what does だって mean here? I have reviewed my previous questions on だって, and I know it can mean "too/also", "even", "but", "however", "still", "yet", "although", "even though", "even if", and "or something" -- but which one fits here?
4. 例えば、会社だったら、社員にやる気を出させるために はアメだけでもだめし、ムチだけでもだめで、やっぱり 「アメとムチ」の両方が必要だってことですね。
My translation: "For example, in the case of a company, in order to motivate the staff it's no good only (offering) a carrot (lit. candy), and it's no good only (using) a stick (lit. whip), it's necessary to use both "carrot and stick".
a) Though I hope I've got the basic meaning correct, I'm not too sure technically how to parse だけでも. Should I understand だけでも ... だけでも as meaning だけで ... だけで, with も ... も added to emphasise "neither one nor the other"?
b) Erm .... (raises hand, small voice) ... does だって have the role of contrasting (in the sense of "but" or "however") the use of both carrot and stick with the use of just one or the other?
