Hi,

What does this expression mean?

2. The question relates to a story in which 足立さん rescues a girl whose car has run out of petrol:

足立さんは女の人に起こったことの原因についてどう思 っていますか。

This looks to me like it means "What does Adachi-san think about the cause of what happened to the girl?" (i.e., why she ran out of petrol). Is that right? (I feel I may be missing the point, because I don't think there is anything in the story that would allow one to answer that question.)

What does 州 mean here?

4. This instruction is part of an exercise in which students have to imagine they work for a travel company and devise a package tour promotion.

If 企画会議のつもり is something like "plan for a project meeting", then what is the purpose of で? Could it mean "about", as in "on the subject of"?

This is the title of an essay. In this case, does と mean "with"?

1)
You did it quickly!

2)
ついてなかっただけですよ can't be the answer?

3)
Is there anything preceding 州?

4)
pretending that you are attending a project meeting

5)
Yes.

Thanks Toritoribe.

2) Yes, well spotted, you may be correct! (I did not understand that ついてなかった thing at the time I was originally trying to answer the question.)

3) Nothing that seems directly connected. The whole sentence is

Ah, that's a story regarding a US company, right? Then, 州 refers to "the state(e.g. State of California)". (Of course, it can be a company of Germany, Canada, Australia and so on, though.)

I think you must be right. This is part of an exercise for students, who are asked to imagine that they work for a travel comany. I think there must be an implicit assumption that those students are in the US, and so 州 would probably refer to their home state.
