Hi,

1. 文法練習には、似たような文法表現、例えば「ことにな る・ようになる」 ... などの練習も含めた。

My attempted translation: "In the grammar practice/exercises, (we) have also included practice of similar expressions such as 「ことになる・ようになる」 ... etc."

Is this right? Or does に actually mean "in order to (practise the grammar)" rather than "in (the grammar practice/exercises)"?


2. そして、その会話の練習がしやすいように、会話練習の ポイントとして、各課の機能をハイライトした会話の枠 組みを示した。

My attempted translation: "Furthermore, in order to make the conversation practice easy ... (something about conversation practice points) ... (we) have laid out (示した) a conversational framework to highlight the function of each lesson."

I don't very clearly understand the function of として or how the middle part links with the rest of the sentence. I am also not very confident that I have parsed the last part correctly. I broke it down like this:

...[ [(各課の機能) を (ハイライトした)] (会話の枠組み) ] を 示した。

If you can make sense of this, is it right?

Your translation is correct. に here means "in".

として means "as (a way of)".

枠組みを示した is the core of the above sentence.

その会話の練習がしやすいように、 (reason/purpose)

会話練習のポイントとして、 (as a way of practicing conversation)

各課の機能をハイライトした会話の枠組みを (object)

示した。 (verb)

When に as the meaning of "in order to" is topicalized, the main verb 含めた is semantically odd. The form should be 含めなければならなかった, 含める必要があった, 含めることだ or something like that. (If it is 文法練習のために/文法練習にと or not the topic, …も含めた is OK.)
