についてとに対しての違いとは何ですか？

Well, recently I met some grammatical particles like に 対 して \ において、について、によって and I have no idea how to use them and what is the difference. Accepting について of course.
Also recently I've been questioned by close friend how would you translate "There are three things you can watch forever: Fire, water and food." in Japanese. I couldn't translate this. Would someone please be so kind to translate that for me?

To ask to explain the meanings/usages of those particles are just like to ask to explain the meanings/usages of prepositions such like about, against, towards, for, to, by, at, etc, etc, in English. That's extremely hard work...

I'm no expert. But when I read these grammar structures I think of "about or regards to" for について and "towards or against" for に対して。

An example of について would be.

何のかことについて話しているんですか. What are you talking about?
日本の政治についてどう思いますか。What do you think of Japanese politics?

Examples of に対して are
私は彼女に対してこういを持っています。 Ⅰfeel affection towards her.
彼は私に対して恨みを持っているようです。He seems to have a grudge against me.
