I've re-checked the usage of にしても just in case, but it still doesn't make sense to me? I'm not sure which usage is this? #1 or #2?
"It looks like Trump is opposed to the TPP and global warming countermeasures as well."?
What's the point of にしても here then? Why not just write: TPPにも、地球温暖化対策にも反対のようだ"
Is it used for emphasis? As in "he's EVEN opposed to the TPP..."

It's #2, as you interpreted. TPPにしても地球温暖化対策にしても or TPPにも地球温暖化対策にも is more common (or more likely "these structures are correct").

Oh. I wouldn't even have batted an eye if it was にしても～にしても～ or にも～にも, but using different forms consecutively is what threw me of. Thanks.
