I am not clear on the differences between ていい And てくれる。Specifically, I am wanting to ask, "Can you wait?" (before doing something)
I'm thinking that
待っていい?Means can I wait? (Is it okay if I wait?)
待ってくれる?Means can you wait? (would you mind waiting?)
And 待っていい(よ)。Means you can wait. (It's OK if you wait.)
How close am I?
My initial reaction is to ask まっていい?To try to say "can you wait?"
But think that is not right.
Thanks in advance. This is my first post.
