Hi. Please have a look at the circled part.
How should I understand the ほど there? It doesn't seem that it is the same usage as in 試験ほど嫌なものはない。.

Thank you again. So the opposite of the example could be phrased like 五河琴里一三歳の眠りはそれで起きるほど浅い。. Is it grammatically correct?

Yes, that's perfectly correct. Incidentally, それで起きないほど、五河琴里一三歳の眠りは深い。 "Her sleep is as deep as she is not woken up by that." is for the same meaning as the original.

Thank you again. By the way, is 五河琴里一三歳の眠りはそれで起きるほど浅くはない also grammatically correct? (the circled part can be inserted between 眠りは and 浅くはない in the original sentence?)
