Is this some sort of Nobori or Yosgaki? Do you think it is WWI?

Greetings! Heading should have said WWII, not WWI. I am curious as to what this is. Is it a Nobori or Yosegaki banner of some sort, possibly from WWII? I am not asking for a complete translation, just an idea as to what it is, and are those signatures (autographs)?. I believe I see a patriotic passage written in large kanji in the middle. If it is for a soldier, is his name included, or branch of service? Thank you for your opinion!

Dated September 7, 1937 and appears to be a list of guys who went to fight in the undeclared war between Japan and China which sort of bled into WWII later on, pardon the pun.

On second examination, probably a yosegaki for a guy named 八幡大武人.....or maybe 川崎三郎.

Thanks, Mike, even for the pun! The China Incident occurred in July of '37, so these men were called up to go over. So it sounds like it may be "a list of guys" in a unit, and not just one soldier. Very interesting! Thank you.

I've edited my post.

The middle refers to Hachiman. The same kanji, read differently, are the surname Yabata. The bottom three could mean "great warrior" or could conceivably be a first name. The lack of an honorific makes this not likely to be a name, though. The name Saburo Kawasaki is followed by an honorific so it is probably to him.
