Closeup is almost always better for an artistic impact. The other is more of a snapshot/journalistic photo. Both are engaging.

In the close one, you can more easily see that there are a couple pairs of gloves, and on the pole to either side of one of the gloves (blue, and light green) are what I'd call collection bags, that hang off a belt when someone is in a garden or the hills (mountain veggies? 山菜). Not sure if those are homemade or not.

Well this was my little home for an hour before I got to the hospital
I crashed my bike.
4 broken bones. Luckily it was my nose. And I don't have to buy a Halloween mask.

Yeah I crashed into the fence that cosmos yeah I just trying to hop on my bike and the bike flipped overnight crashed right into the fence nose first luckily it was my nose because if it was my forehead I'd definitely would have cracked some bone the skull anyway I got the four stitches three broken bones in the nose and I took a ride ambulance and the police game it was blood everywhere I made it must have been a pint of blood right there at the entrance of cosmos really horrible
I got the stitches out but I'm wearing a like a little brace on my nose right now which will be removed the next Tuesday hopefully the little crack on my nose doesn't look like Jackie Chan . I tell everybody no I have a Jackie Chan nose.
I didn't trash out my bike but the odometer the little thing that goes on the wheels spokes it doesn't work so I got to get that see what happened to that I don't know I should be in pretty good shape and I have that when it rains it pours like from knee injury cataracts nose injury and currently well it's kind of a aging process when you get this age you run it to a few medical situations and well you just have to make an adjustment with your life that's all but it's a pain in the butt that's for sure anyway I'm pulling myself through got good doctors at the hospital the One hospital is Red Cross hospital and the other is sei sai Kai . Hospital. Just left the hospital this morning the only charged me $160 yen can you believe that just only $160 yen for a hospital visit with the follow-up procedures unbelievable that's not dollars that's the yen160.
Next month going back up to Tottori goes some camping I know it's going to be cold but I got a pretty good sleeping bag this time and a friend of mine let go camping with get the lot of firewood up in the mountains. Got to enjoy life no matter what the condition is just think positive and start kicking yeah that's it man.
This is a distinction that I know from early cinema (which I've studied a little and even tried to teach some). An early split was between documentarians (the Lumière brothers, who actually invented cinema as we know it) and the fantastic/creative approach of Méliès, who had been a magician, and who used/invented special effects to create something beyond reality. (see trip to the moon).
Some of what I see and take pictures of is the documentary pov (the first two, above, and esp the second**), and also some of the natural world. Things you wouldn't ordinarily notice, but once pictured, the attention drawn to it makes it a little special. There's also some of the fantastic in the natural world, if you take time to pay attention and isolate some little part (the yellow one, above--or is it somehow art??).
The two photo clubs I'm in would poo-poo most any of these. They aspire to the perfect landscape shot--a scene with water/flowers/mountains (and lord forbid, fireworks, or blooming cherry trees, or matsuri, which can be good--or look, I go some lightning bugs in this one, but I don't aspire to those things). And a technical bit, the clubs want an aspect ratio of 3:2 (same as old 35mm film, which was 24 x 36) while I prefer to use what the subject needs--maybe it's 4:5, 5:7. 1:1 (square, as above), or something else.
But even once upon a time, that 24x36mm was 'forced' into an 8x10 print (which is 4x5), or 5x7, etc. Even today/now, 3:2 is not the same as A4, A3, or (common for photo exhibits) A3 ノビ (slightly larger than A3).
**and the second, tho not someone's living room, brings you into someone's life/personal space (as represented by what you see), in a way that otherwise might take a series of pics to represent.

Re-cropping, I see kaga-something on the right, tengumai is common everywhere, tedorigawa, kikuhime to the left, and a couple tateyamas.
This is a pretty old, local shop, and while I didn't include the upper part of the wall (most of it not included), I think there are some other shops known for their selection.
If you do come thru, Kanazawa Shu Shu would be great--the master is truly a master, he's well-known in the prefecture (and probably beyond). I think it's only open Fri-Sat (weekends), and you have to reserve and get there on opening (it's small).

It's 12 noon and the pop-up shop looks open, but there's no one inside. Probably during lunch break. The employees must have been very hungry and rushed out to eat.
But the shop's equipment remains the same...
There is a surveillance camera at the circle mark, but this is for the entrance to the grocery store, not for the pop-up shop.
When you visit a shop, the employees are often not there. It's common in Japan.
「すみませーん、誰かいませんかー？」
The pop-up shop at 10pm, but...
Next is a photo of the same shop at 10pm. The business has already closed and there is no one there.
The closed shop that is too open. There are lots of gaps, so you can get in from anywhere.
And there are also no employees, no security guards, and no surveillance cameras.
But proper crime prevention measures have been taken. That's because the desks and bags that were displayed outside are now inside the shop.
In Japan, this is an impregnable defense.
「木と紙でできてる日本の家も、防御力ではとんとん」
Very kind, but...
They also kindly leave a message for guests arriving late at night.
This message lets us know that this is not a dumping ground. If this message hadn't been there, the number of bags would probably have increased by the next morning.
「ここにカバンを捨てないでください！」
Standing signboard, but...
It's 10pm and there's a standing signboard with a bags at the entrance to the grocery store.
It says: "Please feel free to take some home". This is in regards to the shop leaflet, but not bags. But it's very misleading.
This sign probably stays up 24 hours a day, even after the grocery store is closed(11pm).
「この看板が、一番の働き者だ！」
Many people are coming in and out of the grocery store day and night, but no one pay attention to this pop-up shop.
Maybe the bags has never been stolen. But I'm worried that something might go wrong someday. For example, there are no thieves maybe, but there will probably be no customers either.
