Seems like it is at 106 yen per dollar. I'm hoping it will go to 112 per dollar. What this does for me is that my dollar now will give me more yen and I can really use an increase in the yen.

I think you got me backwards, I want the yen to be 70 to the dollar. I get paid in yen. ;)
Oh, OK. I get paid in dollars but it changed into yen. But I understand where you are coming from. I, too, would like it at 70 yen if I was traveling to the States. It would be a bargain.

If you or anyone else can crank it up that far, there'd be loads of free drinks. I get my 退職金 the last day of March, and I'd appreciate even just a day or two at the beginning of April at anything under 100.

Good for people paid in $ and living in Japan

Good for people (like me) bringing foreign currency into Japan

Good for Japanese exporters

Bad for most Japanese consumers because price of imported stuff will rise

Yep! That's so true. I really hope it goes up to at least 110 by the end of the month.

Congratulations! It sailed over 110 and is now sitting at over 111. I think it could go to 120. This would not be good news for me, but momentum is the dollar's friend right now.
