My name is Erica, but I'll probably respond to Nebulahime14 or some variation more often than not. I've been studying Japanese by myself since November of 2013, and I'm hoping to take the JLPT N2 in December 2016.
I've kinda always had a thing for foreign cultures since I was real, real little, with my introduction to Japanese culture being this Page-A-Day Origami Calender I got for New Year's in second grade. I didn't really get into origami until fourth, and by 6th grade, I had already gotten ahold of my first Japanese dictionary and started to pick up a few words here and there during the middle of my "weeaboo" phase. Seventh grade, 2013, was when I really started to dive in head-first with everything.
One of the first books I found in my library was "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Japanese", which at the time, was perfect for me. As my knowledge increased, I found my way to online resources and eventually Tae Kim's online grammar guide. That site was what led to to a multitude of other sites--including my favorite blog, Tofugu--many of which I still use today.
However, I recently noticed that I was still lacking a true community to belong to with my endeavors, and really, that's why I'm here. I'm looking to make friends, help and be helped, and hopefully come out of it with a thing or two learned.
Anyway, that's a bit about me and why I'm here. If you have any other questions for me, feel free to ask. ^-^

Go into a forum and press the "Post New Thread" button. You need to be in a forum where the list of threads are. You can't post a new thread from an existing one. You can only reply like you're doing here.

Well, I don't think you want to post any threats! However, there is a button in the top right corner of the forum page that you can click. allowing you to create a new thread.
