Hello there!

She said she wanted something around the lines of "in harmony/in balance" , I guess she means, "In balance with the world/universe" or something like that.

Somehow she brought me 燕飛, and Im pretty sure it has nothing to do with what she wanted at first, I didnt even bother asking where she found that.

In my sincere opinion a simple 和 should be enough to pin it down. But since I dont want to be the one to mess things up, I decided to ask for some 相談 here, what would you suggest? Is there any 四字熟語 that could somehow convey this meaning?

Thank you , once more!!

I hope she doesn't get it off-center.....

I hope she doesn't get it off-center.....

In 2013, the japanese community here in my town hosted a japanese festival
lots of friends went there to watch the yosakoi soran/ taiko groups, one of them brought his new girlfriend and wanted to show me her tattoo , which was supposed to be her name, but he wouldnt tell me because he wanted me to figure it out from her tattoo.

She showed me her arm, rather disturbing for me, I was expecting katakana, but instead...

Well she got a 利利案、 in her arm, I said hesitantly, Ririan.

She was like "ohh thats right, Lilian, thats my name. Nothing wrong with the tattoo at all"

I said yeah, lets buy some udon and changed the topic quickly.

Im afraid tattooing ones western name in kanji is a risky business
