I'm assuming おっきな is a child like way to say 大きいな?

There is a large windmill at this valley's edge but I've never even once been there to see it.
My wake up flute is strange. Even if someone is sound asleep it will immediately wake them up.

That second sentence is weird due to the word flute repeated twice, I guess that's a normal in Japanese? Or is this kid just talking strange?

Although 風車 and 風車小屋 are both "windmill" in English, they are distinguished in Japanese. The former mostly refers to blades of windmill (the rotating part in the outside of the building/house), whereas the latter only refers to the whole building/house including blades. Thus, you can try to rotate 風車, but you can't do for 風車小屋.

与える is volitional and the speaker can control whether he gives a power to the addressee or not, so 与えよう expresses the speaker's will there. The volitional form of non-volitional verbs means presumptive.

Maybe your translation is correct, but keep in mind that 道 is not necessarily a physical road. It could also be: "It's all about cutting your way (through difficulties, life) using your own strength (willpower, perseverance); relying only on yourself; independently etc".

Ah, so it's ambiguous. Well, clearing a road with some rewarded ability is a very typical rpg scenario, it fits in very easily. Although the only way to know is for me to wait and see if an actual road does eventually need to be cleared with the ability I get from that guy... which might be a while.

The second ちから refers to ability/power in general, not the one セブー will give. In fact, 自分の力で道を切り開く is a typical expression of "to create your own future by yourself".
