From what I have studied the particle で represents a place of action and defines means of transport. It also represents use of an object like a pencil or chopsticks and such.
I appreciate you taking the time to teach me this. Thank you.会う is an action, that's the reason で is used for えきのまえ. It exactly indicates the location of the action here, right?
You can also use と for イーさん. に is unilateral, so it has a nuance of "I met him by chance (He had been there. I went to the place, and met him)". Whereas と is mutual. It has a nuance of "He and I both went there and met (I arranged to meet him there, for instance)." The difference is subtle, therefore they are often interchangeable, though (e.g. 駅前で彼と偶然会った。).
I thought they both made sense in their own way. Thanks again for your help. I do appreciate it.休む can mean both "to take a rest/break" and "to be absent from/not to attend". で indicates the location where the subject takes a rest in the former meaning, and を is the object(school, work, meeting, etc.) the subject is absent from/doesn't attend in the latter meaning.
e.g.
散歩の途中、公園で休んだ。
さんぽのとちゅう、こうえんでやすんだ。
I took a rest in a park while I was having a walk.
祖父の葬儀で学校を休んだ。
そふのそうぎでがっこうをやすんだ.
I was absent from school because of my grandfather's funeral.
As for your question, the answer that is supposed to be correct is を, as you guessed, but で also can be correct in a very specific context, for instance, you are in your office now, you have something to do tonight and you need to take a rest for preparing it, but you live far away from your office, so you report your boss you'll take a rest in the office until the event instead of returning home.
(このあと)用事がありますから、(家に帰らないでそれまで)会社で休みます。
Sorry, my mistake.I don't think どう is a particle, but your answer is correct.
The second spot is asking for what sort of food there was. Think carefully. Have you learned some words for "this kind", "that kind", "what kind"?
Sorry, my mistake.
Erm, I don't know. 'この', 'その' and 'どの'?
Have you not had こんな、そんな、あんな、どんな yet?
If you have, the answer is from that. If you haven't, the answer is 何の(なんの)
No, I haven't had a lesson in that. Although I have used どんな before when I started learning adjectives.
Thanks kindly for helping with that.
Yes, に is correct since います is a verb for existence. You can also use には or は.サントスさんのうち( )犬とねこ(が)います。
The first particle, I am stuck between 'に' and 'で' - However I am quite sure it is 'に'.
