Sorry it took me long to answer you >.< I think someone here already posted a lot of good sites and apps that you can use, but I can recommend the ones that I use too.
In this post: Japanese Reading Practice For Beginners - Tofugu there's a lot of tips to people that want to practice their japanese reading (it helps you with kanji memorization if you read a lot ^^). For learning grammar and stuff, I would recommend Learn Japanese online. With our podcast, learning Japanese is easy. | JapanesePod101.com (I think this one was already recommended by someone here), Erin's Challenge! I can speak Japanese. | The Japan Foundation (I used to use this one when I was beginning to learn japanese, but I still think it's a good site and you can learn for free ^^). Also, you can learn kanji from grade 1 to 8 with this Kanji alive: A free study tool for reading and writing kanji, so check it out!
In this one you can have an idea of what you need to learn for each JLPT levels tests JLPT Resources - Free Japanese Vocabulary lists and MP3 sound files.
You can also install rikaikun in your pc so you can read the kanjis that you don't know.
There's more but I think you can get confused if you use a lot of resources at the same time.

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII i am soooo exited i am from algeria and i am going to apply in this year's mext scholarship i guess its obvious since i wrote this post here, i have only one question, what's a screening ? i didnt understand it does it mean that they will look in my previous years marks or what?

The screening is where they check your stuff so they can decide if you'll move on to the next stage.
Your marks and all the other documents they ask for in order to apply are for the first screening,then the second screening is when they check your exams to see if you'll get the interview and so on~

- Objective
2. Your research topic upon arrival in Japan: Stipulate the research you wish to carry out in Japan.
- Hypothesis and variables
- Explanation on how research will be carried out
3. Study program in Japan: (Describe in detail and with specifics — particularly concerning the ultimate goal(s) of your research in Japan)
- Methodology
- Chronogram

I want to apply for Computer Engineering but there is no such subject in the list. Computer Engineering is mixture of Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Computer Science.
What should I write in the topic? Possible options are Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering(WTH is that?), Computer Science...

Hello everyone!
I'm not sure if the applications have opened for everyone yet, but on my application there is a section which says "9. Field of study you majored in at high school or university." Because I'm still at high school and we don't major in anything, I was unsure how to answer the section. I emailed the embassy asking last week, but they haven't replied yet. Any thoughts?

I'm home schooled and there are some things for the MEXT application I still don't know where to get...
The certificate of expected graduation from high school is the main one. I've been trying so hard to figure out where to get one and there just seems to be no one out there that can tell me where to go for one.
since my parents act as my "principal" they have to be the one to give me the school recommendation that I need for the application. does anyone know what it needs to look like? (like what kind of format?)
If anyone else is home schooled and has figured these things out please help me! I wanted to have my application sent in by now and I'm super worried...
I was enrolled in public school until my 9th and 10th grade years of high school and then spent a year in Japan as an exchange student (I'm currently in 11th grade). during that time I received the JLPT N4, and my Japanese ability has since improved. does anyone know if that will help me at all? (like in terms of being more eligible)
