Translation of Koyto temple souvenir

Hi,
On a recent trip we bought a paper mache bull from a temple in Kyoto . I was always curious what it said, but the Kanji is a bit beyond me! Could someone help with a translation?

The bull is holding a plaque reading 福 (fuku) "happiness"

The note, summarized, explains that there is a tradition/belief that if you have an ailment or infirmity you should rub that same area on the bull and then place your hand on the same part of your body. (So if your eyes are going bad, rub the bull's eyes and then place your hand on your eyes, for example).

I don't suppose you could tell me what the wooden plaque (bull photo) says? I imagine it's along the same lines too, but would be good to know.
