Is there going to be a 2014 competition?

Hello,

I am thinking of entering the pony canyon anime-ka contest (where ideas and concepts can be turned into anime) but I am not sure if there is a 2014 edition or if the website are just showing last year's winners? Last year was the first edition.

If somebody has the time then can they please look at this website 結果発表 | アニメ化大賞 powered by ポニーキャニオン and tell me the gist of what the website says and if there is any information on a 2014 edition, does it state any rules and what the prizes are? It would be very helpful. Does it also give the winner's and second place plot and who were involved into those ideas?

If there is a second competition, I don't see any indication on the site at the moment. Perhaps they're waiting to see how things go with the last set of winners (i.e. if they make any money off them) before they decide if it's worth doing again. Just so you know, the rules from the last one are still up and one of them is that entries have to be in Japanese.

They have commentary from the judges but not full plot details or anything for the winners:

The main winner submitted illustrations + plot/scenario. The winners (actually a group in this case) got 100万円 and the work will be made into an anime. The judges praised the establishment of the setting and the characters (although the story was basic). The only mention of the details is it's called D.Backup and the "software" 「ソフトウェア」 (protagonists) have to fight off bugs so I'm guessing that it's a sort of sci-fi set-inside-a-computer type.

There were two winners of the 特別賞 (they got 30万円 each). One submitted in the plot/scenario category and was scifi/action in genre. Comments say it was original/potentially interesting but would be very difficult to animate. The other submitted a manga which was a "slice of life" type aimed at a female audience.

There were a number of supplementary awards (in the plot/scenario, novel and music categories), no detail given - they got 3万円 each.

Thank you very much for the translation, very helpful, I really much appreciate it. There is actually a group of us (myself writing, 5 reviewers who are reading what I have written and giving feedback and suggestions and 2 illustrators who will be drawing the characters so the reader knows the potential of what each character looks like). It is going to be screenplays. One an anime film and the other a 13 episode series. I know it had to be in Japanese so later down the line will need a translator but at moment we are setting the plot of the stories. All guys (except for illustrators) come from My Anime List forums site whilst illustrators from DeviantArt Forums. So hoping there is a second edition, coming whenever, if not I am sure Kyoto animation award is doing another competition. All proceed going to a orphanage charity (which the anime film is based on) so that is why I am hoping there is another event.
