Im researching on the meaning of a Japanese identity for my design project,
so was wondering, coming from a Japanese perspective do u know what is the Japanese identity?, Or what makes a Japanese "Japanese"?

Im sure it starts with a somewhat identifiable yet varied genetic code, and then as time goes on transfers into a state of cultural learning and unconscious awareness. To sum things up..... we all love sushi!!!

Im from Singapore, and unfortunately, singapore doesnt have a national identity yet, as singapore is still, kinda young i suppose, but way too diverse.

Anyway, what I was looking for here is a "National identity."
It is the person's identity and sense of belonging to one state or to one nation, a feeling one shares with a group of people, regardless of one's citizenship status.

This is kind of hard to say, but I can tell you Japanese are very group-orientated. Not all Japanese are like this however. It's hard to come with an identity for a group of people because there are so many, a strict identity wouldn't successfully apply to all of them. I can guarantee you that not all 127 million people in Japan share the same ideals, and perceive themselves/each other the same way.

as for Japan, The Chinese civilization further than Western civilization
The Buddhist country of Southeast Asia is very close.

It's interesting that most would never say so publicly, and being a member of the Uyoku is an embarrassing thing. You would think the Uyoku would be stronger if so many felt that way, rather than an embarrassing fringe group.
I congratulate you on your desire to spread your fringe racist philosophies on the Internet, but I hope all people reading understand you are the exception, and not the rule.

as far how to view the history, it is one of important Japanese identity. most Japanese admire and think of the hardships of our predecessors
and gratitude them. and Many Japanese do not even have a chance to think of being a Japanese .then It is a wake up by contact and comparison with foreign countries and peoples

and comparison with foreign and So that it is got to know about these problem they wake..That consciousness is even stronger as a Japanese
as an identity, that is why many people who are living abroad are proud to be a Japanese.

of course , many Japanese people is not good at English and they do not insist much and avoid conflict .
if a Japanese meet such like you they avoid conflict and just agree with you without showing real mind
Such a thing will not be said if it is your acquaintance.
as far Uyoku, The consciousness as their Japanese might be strong.

at first Many Japanese also receive a culture shock in foreign countries.
especially China, korea and middle east....so as Japanese identity , it seems so distance between both

It notices the identity when that the Japanese go abroad.because Japan is not a country like Singapore or the U.S. with Multi-racial nation.
Japanese outlook on the world, virtue, language, value, train of thought...... make Japanese identyty
so many people should know about Japanese history's cause and effect. we have to know own culture, arts..,
as for global world, It becomes a key how you can provide a product and service only in Japan which you cannot imitate in the other countries.
In the scene of diplomacy and international business negotiations, what's called axle which does not move slightly as the Japanese lays dignity and spirit to raise negotiations power
I think that it is brought on with nature by the honor as the Japanese.
of course, japanese should knowa n understan other culture for dealing with.


The education should originally bring up hope and courage, confidence, virtue to a youth
I seem to do the action that is reverse to it in many schools in Japan

There is much masochistic education whether Japan made a bad thing to a cuttlefish in the other countries once

as for it in japan , it is not established yet because most important main pillar of the Japanese is wrecked.
