I met a friend from Italy a few days ago and since he loves cats, he taught me two cats-related words in Italian.
cat : gatto
kitty : micio
I found the latter so cute, and wonder how the kitties are called in other languages.
Here's what I already know:
English: kitty (cat)
Italian: micio (gatto)
Hungarian: cica (macska)
Japanese: nyanko (neko) 窶堙俄?堙。窶堙ア窶堋ア ツ(窶堙銀?堋アツ)
I'll be very happy if you add the words "kitty" as well as cat (in brackets) in your language or the language(s) you know to the above list.
[note] These are the words referring to a cat/cats and often used by small children.
I'm looking for similar words in other languages.
