Need a word or phrase translated?

Hey, I was attempting to read this complicated article in Japanese but couldn't quite make sense of it all even after studying all the 漢字 in the text. I noticed that in Japanese the subject is quite often absent from a clause and is only implied through context etc. unlike English. I think I get the gist of the entire paragraph but I could be wrong! Can anyone help me translate this?
友人や姉妹から提供された卵子を使う非配偶者間の体外受精を不妊クリニックの団体が計画している問題で、日本産科婦人科学会の倫理委員会(委員長:星合(ほしあい)昊(ひろし)近畿大教授)は、政府の要請を受けて生殖補助医療のルールづくりを検討している日本学術会議が来年1月に結論を出すまで、実施を見送るよう要請する方針を決めた。
That's for sure more than a beginners grammar exercise. What is this for ? And what is your take on it content/translation-wise ? :sorry:

I'd be impressed if he just had a general idea of what it was about. That's pretty advanced material.

Another question about The romance of the three kingdoms

Sorry for bothering you. :sorry:

孫権(字ー文台): so I think it's the name of the person Son Ken or Sun Quan then 字 =? , reading あざな, then 文台 : Bundai.

Is it first name and surname ?
What is the あざな thing?

Thank you for your help!

Thank you very much.

I'm going checkin it.

By the way, "one day-one event" is a very good exercise.

👍

It's "an article a day" (記事 means article). I'm glad you like it! :-)

Translation needed into English:

あと、うちあんな女らしい服着ないです。
今は、髪がショートなんで女らしい服は似合わないんです。
毎日B系の服です。ビックリしましたか?

Thank you!

She's just telling you that she doesn't wear really feminine clothing and that she has a short hair cut that doesn't go with them and if that surprises you.

Thanks, Rube!

Translation needed into Japanese:
It doesn't surprise me at all. You look great just the way you are.

Glenn san, would you do us a favour?
Could you please tell him "please do not post in Chinese language because this forum is English oriented" in Chinese? Or could you direct him to the China Forum?

Let's see how this goes.

我想学日语 谁教我啊 呵呵

你好,fenghaitao1988。因為這裡是主要用英文的貼吧,所以請用英文交流。在這兒看得懂中文的人不太多。謝謝。
(因為我的中文太不好,如果我寫無禮的東西,請原諒我。)😌

Well, I think that should get the point across, at least.

Sorry, can I just get "It doesn't surprise me at all. You look great just the way you are." translated into Japanese? (with Japanese characters)
Thanks
全然。そのままでかっこいいですよ。

FYI, she also says she wears hip-hop style clothes everyday.
By the way, will you continue the conversation with her through interpreters?:?

Yes... I know it's a pain, but still.. I have no other way of understanding anything that's going on.. I was hoping that you guys wouldn't mind..

But, I AM actually trying to learn Japanese though. I've got my hirigana down, and I'm almost done with katakana. I know a bunch of words and can create simple sentences..

:sorry: :sorry:

Thanks :)

Well, I won't respond again. :p But you still may want to include an explanation or polite request before a FIRST post (next time.....:)

Please can someone tell me the difference between these 3 verb endings?
ません。
ない です。
ない ん です。

For example...
車が要りません。
車が要らない です。
車が要らない ん です。

Also are there any other similar ones?

The first two, 要りません and 要らないです, are the same in meaning. ん in the last example is the n-euphonic change of "explanatory の".

also are there any other similar ones?
要らない(non-polite form)
要らぬ/要らん(classical form)

Hi, can anyone please translate the following?? :)

"From what city in Japan are you from??"

Domo arigatou!!!!!!!

Thank you Toritoribe :o
I understand 要りません and 要らないです are the same in meaning. I just wondered if there is any difference between them. Like when would you use ません and not ない です.
